Who we are
HMC pays attention to dehumanising campaigns

Evidence gathered throughout the years corroborates that killings that have targeted the Banyamulenge and other ethnic minorities in Eastern Congo have specifically been coupled with online and offline campaigns to dehumanise and demonise members of these communities.
Minorities in Congo are largely portrayed as non-native, immigrants and hence invaders. The portrayal originates mostly from historical and colonial classifications of ethnic communities in the African Great Lakes Region.
Other contexts
Besides minorities cited in HMC’s object, HMC also aims to include Rohingyas, Tigrayans, Uyghurs, Hazara, Roma, Fulani, and other minorities to learn from their experiences.
Minorities across the Globe
Besides the Eastern DRC, HMC is aiming to learn from and cover other ethnic and linguistic minorities across the globe. These groups, linguistic and ethnic minorities of interest include the Rohingyas, Yazidis, Hazaras, Romas, Uyghurs, Fulani…
Minorities Research Network
Researchers on minorities have a lot to share and learn from one another. HMC will work towards establishing a research network comprising mainly scholars and researchers interested in researching minorities discrimination and persecution. We believe that many successful achievements and initiatives start small and end up being impressive.
HMC will work to initiate a symposium of ethnic and linguistic discriminated minorities.
